The Peasants
(Chłopi)

Panel Discussion

The Polish Heritage Association is excited to host this presentation and discussion of the controversial 2023 film The Peasants.

Called “a towering achievement of animation” by one critic and “a disappointingly conventional animation” by another, this film prompts strong opinions in viewers. We invite you to add your voice to what promises to be a lively and informative exchange.

We've assembled an expert panel who will present context about the film and the novel on which it is based. After their presentations, there will be a Q&A period, followed by a general discussion, and time for light refreshments and socializing. Questions may also be submitted in advance by email to RecordingSecretaryPHAM@gmail.com.

This event will be presented in person and virtually via Zoom. Registration is required, and will open on February 14, 2025.
